The University of Hull has long played an active part in Humber Business Week.

It stepped up its commitment and support in 2016 as a major supporter of the week, playing a key role in planning and development of the week schedule, as well as and being the central host venue for the final day of the week.
In 2017 it is again a key supporter, hosting a number of events, the annual Humber Business Week celebration dinner, and is one of the main sponsors of The Business Day, at Bridlington Spa, on Friday, June 9.
It is once agan playing a key role in overseeing the development of the week's planning and schedule.

The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership is a business-led partnership.

The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership works closely with government to promote and develop the natural economic area surrounding the Humber estuary, and provide strategic leadership for economic growth.

The LEP is made up of representatives from businesses as well as the University of Hull and the four Local Authorities in the Humber area - Hull City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, North Lincolnshire Council and North East Lincolnshire Council.
