DELEGATES at Humber Business Week 2017 will have the chance to learn how the world’s leading consumer health and hygiene company is inspiring change among its Hull-based workforce.

RB, based at Dansom Lane in the city, will be hosting a seminar highlighting how the development of its new £105m R&D Centre for Scientific Excellence is empowering staff and driving engagement to create a culture that will inspire world-leading product development.

James Anderson, Transformation Lead for the Centre for Scientific Excellence, will be delivering the presentation which will take place in the Lindsey Suite at the University of Hull at 10am on Monday 5th June 2017.

He will be joined by Jenny Perkins, Head of Engagement at Cirrus, a business that specialises in transforming culture and boosting business performance. Cirrus is working alongside RB to facilitate the change via its ‘Connected Excellence Engagement Program’.

Mr Anderson said: “As the new RB R&D Centre for Scientific Excellence in Hull takes shape, we are aware that whilst buildings, systems and processes are important, people are the most important factor in achieving our purpose of healthier lives and happier homes. During the presentation, I will be talking about how the significant investment is being used to springboard wider change, engagement and inspiring science.”

As well as talks by both speakers, the session will include an update on progress at the Centre for Scientific Excellence, a film detailing how the engagement program is being delivered, a Q&A session and an interactive networking session.

Mr Anderson added: “This presentation will be useful to business owners, directors, managers, and anyone interested in change management, as the principles that underline change are the same for all organisations, large or small. We would urge anyone interested in attending to register as soon as possible, because places are already filling up quickly.”
