5 Reasons to Attend Humber Business Week: The Official Launch

With the 2019 Humber Business Week now just a month away, the official launch event next week is a must attend for those keen to know what is on offer this year.

Held on Wednesday 8th May at the Nidd Building, at The University of Hull, here are 5 reason why it could prove beneficial to attend;

Networking  - The event hosts some of the most prestigious business players within the region. Whether you’re an SME or a member of a large enterprise you are welcome. This relaxed format offers the perfect recipe for business introductions. Being in a room with the best the region has to offer allows you to put forward your best foot and demonstrate your businesses capabilities. Tip: Don’t forget to bring a handy pack of business cards!

Guest Speakers - The launch event will be hosting two speakers this year. They are Dr Paul Sewell OBE, one of the original founders of Humber Business Week, and Yorkshire Water’s Head of Resilience, Lee Pitcher. Pitcher’s lead on the “Living with Water Project” is sure to have a role in the importance of a collaborative approach to water resilience in Hull, whilst there can be nobody more passionate about supporting Humber Business Week than Paul, who had the vision for what business is today more than 15 years ago.

Organise your Diary -  The launch event offers the opportunity to spread the word about the great events that happen within Business Week. With the week spanning over the first week in June, it’s the perfect time to organise your diary. The launch event will showcase confirmed bookings of events with details provided on how to book on. Whether you’re an event host or an attendee, this is an event for you to map out your own personal Business Week experience.

Entertainment  - We’re not lacking in fun for our launch event. Last year’s launch hosted a live band from the University. You can expect some entertainment that will be sure to get your toes tapping.

Meet the #BizWeek Team - Behind Business Week is a Steering Group. Whilst they can’t organise your events for you, they can offer support and years of experience of what works and what doesn’t at Business Week. Do you have questions about Business Week? Perhaps you’d be interested in hosting an event but you’re unsure where to start. The Business Week Steering Group will be in attendance to offer support where possible.

We’d love to have more of you on board with this highlight in the Business Calendar.

The official launch is held Wednesday 8th May at the Nidd Building, Hull University Business School and begins 5:30pm.
