Influencing public policy: how your business can lobby Parliament and why you should

Parliament.jpg

2pm-3pm

Hull University Business School

This session is aimed at local businesses who are affected by public policy (i.e. all of them!) and who wish to know how they can lobby Parliament to promote – or oppose – changes in public policy as well as raise their awareness of, and profile in, Parliament.
Without knowing how to engage with Parliament effectively, they are likely to lose out to competitors. The talk will cover the means by which monitor and influence Parliament – both Houses – and how to raise awareness among parliamentarians of what businesses are doing.

Attendees will also learn about how the University’s Centre for Government can support business in engaging with Parliament.

The talk will be delivered by Professor The Lord Norton of Louth, Professor of Government, The University of Hull.
