Councillor Mary Glew - a Hull politician for 16 years - was responsible for the refurbishment of Trinity Market. As Centenary Lord Mayor, she devised the Centenary Plaque Programme, marking the lives of Hull’s unknown heroes. Beverley-born Lucy Nichol is a mental health campaigner used to the ups and downs caused by anxiety since childhood. Her book, ‘A Series of Unfortunate Stereotypes’, confronts the stigma attached to mental health in a realistic yet refreshingly witty manner. Lucy has written for The Independent, Huffington Post and more, and has appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire Show and Woman's Hour.
Jenny Howard-Coombes’s career spans two decades operating across the arts and commercial event sectors. She joined Freedom Festival Arts Trust in 2013 and has engaged extensively with communities and cross sector organisations to champion the role of arts and culture as an enabler of change for people and place.
