The CATCH Equity, Diversity Inclusivity and Belonging network emerged from a collective recognition among regional businesses of the untapped potential for a greater impact through working together. Companies leave their logos at the door to come together to discuss specific topics, with members eager to enhance the industry as a more inclusive workspace.
Member companies have endorsed a EDIB Charter and its accompanying guidelines, demonstrating their collective commitment to shaping our regional process, energy, renewable, engineering and supporting industries, that is resilient, adaptive, and inclusive. With the sector currently facing a notable skills shortage and with a surge of job opportunities expected from upcoming large-scale engineering and construction projects, ensuring a diverse talent pool and equal opportunity has never been more crucial. We have to empower young people and adults to work in careers that they may never have thought possible – it is never too early – or too late!
Join us for an introduction to Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity and Belonging, where the group will share important (and some worrying) facts, why collective transformation is necessary, share key learnings from topics we have covered from allyship and gender equality, to inclusive company policies to banter v’s bullying.
The EDIB network has always championed take aways, the network is not just about talking, but also about action. Therefore, we are delighted that Dave Scott, #IAmRemarkable facilitator will be taking participants through this global Google initiative that empowers everyone, including underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. The goal is to challenge the social perception that surrounds self-promotion, an issue that not only affects individuals but also hinders progress when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
