East Riding Voluntary and Community Sector Showcase

East Riding Voluntary and Community Sector Showcase

Did you know the voluntary and community sector in our region (Humber and North Yorkshire) had an income of £1 billion in 2020?

The East Riding Voluntary and Community Sector Showcase event will bring together organisations from across East Riding to highlight their work, achievements, and contributions to communities demonstrating their vibrance and diversity.

Come along to see the amazing work of the voluntary and community sector within the East Riding, from small grassroots led groups to larger anchor charities, with the opportunity to learn more about how you can become involved and show your support, whilst enjoying Greek street food and refreshments.

You will have the opportunity to meet around 40 organisations showcasing their work, just a snapshot of the over 1600 groups operating across the East Riding. See firsthand the vital work that takes place, largely by volunteers every day, that contributes to tackling health inequalities.

Organisations will share how they play a crucial role in addressing social, environmental, and economic issues, in partnership with local authority, NHS and local businesses.

Organisations will display their work on a wide range of issues, including poverty alleviation and tackling social isolation, healthcare, education, environmental conservation, sport and physical activity and community development.

This event, the first of its kind for Humber Business Week, is essential for fostering collaboration, connecting with business, and increasing visibility for the diverse range of initiatives and services provided by the voluntary and community sector.
